This research project will evaluate the alternate and remote service delivery models implemented as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic to determine service user satisfaction and the impact on service users’ well-being of these adaptations. The findings will provide data for program planning and implementation, and how to best respond to service users’ needs for future periods of service disruption.
We received a “Community Services Recovery Fund” grant, from the Government of Canada, in partnership with United Way Greater Toronto, to do a program evaluation of the changes we were required to make to our program delivery because of the COVID-19 pandemic. We proposed a participatory program evaluation, which means that the project will involve Centre staff, volunteers, and participants at every stage and to the fullest extent they wish to be involved. The programs that were impacted the most, and that will be evaluated are the Alliston and Richmond Hill Drop-In Centres, Inaadiziwin Centre, Virtual Groups, and the Warm Line and Peer Support Crisis Services.
Duration of the Research Project: September 2023 to June 2024.
