SUMMARY:Virtual Information Session: Peer Recovery Education Program (PREP)
DESCRIPTION:The Krasman Centre’s Peer Recovery Education Program (PREP) is a comprehensive series of courses and trainings about Peer Support and Mental Health and Addiction Recovery concepts.  The course includes a paid 60 hour internship\, offered within a supportive community. The program is designed to support your personal recovery and support you to enter or progress in the peer support\, mental health\, recovery or social services workforce. \nTo participate\, individuals must meet the following criteria: \n\nHave lived experience with recovery from mental health and/or addiction challenges and/or have participated in the services/supports/groups of the Krasman Centre and\nCurrently be receiving social assistance benefits – Ontario Works (OW) or Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP)\, Canadian Pension Plan (CPP) or be unwaged.\nLive in York Region\, North York\, Peel\, or North Toronto\n\nWe are hosting Information Sessions for PREP: In order for your application to be considered\, all applicants must attend an information session.  Important information is shared about the program to help applicants determine if this training is a good fit. \nPlease register for one of the following information sessions which will be held virtually via Zoom: \nMonday\, July 17th\, 2023\, at 10:00 am \nWednesday\, July 19th\, 2023\, at 1:00 pm \nFriday\, July 21st\, 2023\, at 3:00 pm \nMonday\, July 24th\, 2023\, at 7:00 pm \nRegister online using the online registration form. \nFor more information or to register via email or phone\, please contact Monica Weber\, Peer Wellness & Recovery Training Coordinator at (416) 272-7105 or email prep6@krasmancentre.com.
