DESCRIPTION:In honour of International Overdose Awareness Day\, a global campaign to end overdose and reduce the stigma of drug-related deaths\, the Harm Reduction Coalition of York Region is hosting World Overdose Poisoning Awareness Day\, a virtual memorial and day of education and action. We aim to amplify the voices of people who use drugs (PWUD)\, raise awareness about overdose prevention\, and reduce the stigma surrounding drug-related deaths. DESCRIPTION:Have you lost all social and emotional connections to others due to health issues or challenges? Has the pandemic made you feel isolated? You are not alone. \nThe Meeting Spot is a peer-led virtual support group for individuals touched by mental health and/or addiction challenges. \nHere\, we strive to maintain a welcoming environment where you will find support and understanding from others who share similar experiences. The Meeting Spot is an inclusive and non-judgmental space to share stories of hope\, strength\, determination and personal experiences while connecting with others.  \nPlease be advised registration is required. All virtual groups are accessible via Zoom video or dial-in by phone.
