BIPOC Peer Support Wellness Group IN-PERSON

Do you identify as a member of the Black, Indigenous, and/or People of Colour (BIPOC) communities and are seeking services that address experiences by members of the BIPOC communities?
Krasman Centre introduces BIPOC Peer Support Wellness Group, a coming together of members of the BIPOC communities, for opportunities to discuss the richness of our cultures, our challenges, our strengths and our resilience, despite the state of our current societal environment. This group will be guided by the core values of peer support: Hope, Recovery, Empathetic and equal relationships, Self-determination, Dignity, respect and social inclusion, Integrity, authenticity and trust, Health and wellness, Lifelong learning and personal growth.
We will begin with a 30-minute African drumming healing circle (facilitated by Negus Medhin of Holistic Vibrancy), an interactive group rhythmic drumming, using African & Caribbean music for stress and anxiety release, followed by a 1-hour facilitated group discussion. Light refreshments will be provided.
Eligibility:
-Must identify as a member of the BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and/or People of Colour) communities
-Must be an adult aged 16 years or older
