In honour of International Overdose Awareness Day, a global campaign to end overdose and reduce the stigma of drug-related deaths, the Harm Reduction Coalition of York Region is hosting World Overdose Poisoning Awareness Day, a virtual memorial and day of education and action. We aim to amplify the voices of people who use drugs (PWUD), raise awareness about overdose prevention, and reduce the stigma surrounding drug-related deaths. We demand an end to the racist, oppressive, and failed ‘war on drugs’.
