Mission Statement
We work collaboratively with consumer/survivors and families to improve lives through information, networking, self-help, mutual support, and partnership. All programs and services, including volunteer-delivered programs, are delivered by people who identify as having direct personal experience of mental health extremes and/or homelessness and/or people who identify as psychiatric consumer/survivors as part of our peer support philosophy.

The following link is to a video that was created as part of OPDI’s 25th Anniversary Celebration. Three CSI’s (Consumer Survivor Initiatives), including the Krasman Centre, are featured in this documentary.

Out of the Box, Celebrating the Voices of Peer Support

The Krasman Centre staff and visitors would like to say a big thank you to all those who made this year’s Holiday Dinner & Annual Gift Delivery possible. This year we delivered approximately 600 gifts to those living in domiciliary hostels throughout the region, and served approximately 70 Centre visitors with a holiday dinner and gifts.Thank you to all those who donated clothing and toiletries for our gift bags as well as provided us with winter needs items. We also appreciate those who donated financially, prepared food, decorated and helped with clean up.

We would especially like to thank the following for their generous contributions:

Angel Freedman & contributors to Angel’s Garage

The Central Local Health Integration Network

CUPE Local 905

Johnny Lombardi Public School

Richmond Hill Hall Charities Association

Richmond Hill United Church & Outreach Committee
