January 2014: The Krasman Centre is pleased to announce an increase in its funding from the Central LHIN, effective immediately. This funding will aid in the creation and expansion of The Krasman Centre’s programming, including: Peer Navigators - The delivery of peer support in the emergency departments of North York General and Southlake hospitals The Krasman Centre becoming a central access point for WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan), including a website and increasing the number of WRAP/FWRAP groups delivered throughout the CLHIN. Increasing the Warmline to 24 hours/day (from 12p—12a) - effective February 1, 2014. In addition; one-time funding for delivering WRAP I and WRAP II groups, with a focus on training Peer Support Workers. Employment and volunteer opportunities related to positions created by this funding will be posted at The Krasman Centre, online, & throughout the community.
