We are excited to announce that we will be holding an introduction to Pranayama breathing exercises on Monday, September 27th from 1pm to 2pm. This introductory group will deal with learning traditional breathing techniques.
In our respiration process, we breathe in or inhale oxygen into our body, going through our body systems in a form of energy to charge our different body parts. Then we exhale carbon dioxide and take away all toxic wastes from our body. Through the practice of Pranayama, the balance of oxygen and carbon dioxide is attained. Absorbing prana through breath control links our body, mind, and spirit.

Thursdays June 3rd & 17th: CMHA York Region has started a new employment support program. An employment specialist will be at the centre to give a brief presentation on the type of employment support they can provide.
Tuesdays June 8th & 22nd: Book Club Meeting-join our book club, and enjoy great readings and company each month.
Wednesdays June 2nd, 23rd: Spirituality Group-after a short hiatus, we encourage visitors to come, share, and experience spirituality in a safe and comfortable environment. This first meeting will help define topics we will explore future meetings.
Thursday June 10th & 24th: Aboriginal Drumming. Join the Nin Os Kom Tin Friendship Centre at the Krasman Centre for an evening of drumming.
Thursday June 17th (4pm): Mixed Media Found Object Art: bring in objects that have sentimental value to you, or just objects you have lying around your home which you would like to use to create art with. Join us in this workshop to express alternative ways to doing art.
Saturdays June 6th & 12th: Art Therapy Open Studio. Come and experience our art therapy group. Use art materials to express feelings and emotions in a safe and open setting. No registration required.

On March 29th, we invited the Centre for Digital Story Telling in Toronto to conduct a one-day workshop at the Krasman Centre. During that workshop, participants decided to create a digital story about the Krasman Centre and what it meant to all of us collectively. We are happy to announce the finished product.
